Lori Ann Uncapher, 46, Kokomo, passed away at 3:08 p.m. Monday, May 8, 2017, at her residence. Born Nov. 15, 1970, in Biloxi, Mississippi, she was the daughter of James Youngman and Grace (Goley) Youngman.
Lori was a 1989 graduate of Taylor High School. On May 28, 1994, in Kokomo, she married Joseph Daniel Uncapher, who survives. Lori was a nursing assistant for local nursing homes, Guardian Angel Hospice, and, at the time of her death, Comfort Care of Kokomo. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Lori loved watching her daughters play softball, doing garage sales with her girlfriends, and taking pictures of her kids. She was also an avid baseball card collector and Cincinnati Reds fan. She also loved her granddaughter, Layla.
Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Joseph Daniel Uncapher, Kokomo; two sons, Daniel Uncapher and fiancee Bryanna Poll, Lima, Ohio, and Lucas Uncapher, Kokomo; two daughters, Madelyn Uncapher and Olivia Uncapher, both of Kokomo; her parents, James and Grace Youngman, Kokomo; one brother, Jason Youngman, Kokomo; one sister, Lynn (Mike) Irick, Westfield; one granddaughter, Layla Uncapher; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Ellers Mortuary, Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St. Pastor Jeff Sexton will officiate. Cremation will follow. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary. Burial of cremains will take place in Albright Cemetery at a later date.
