Daughter of Charles Carroll and Ruth Louise See Owen. She was a lifelong resident of Topeka, Kansas. She worked for Josten's Yearbook in Topeka from 1976 until she retired in 1988. She later worked for Parks and Recreation of Topeka at the carousel in Gage Park.
She married Michael A. Blodgett on May 23, 1945 in Topeka, they were divorced. Mrs. Blodgett was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Joseph "Tony" Blodgett, on April 28, 1964.
Survivors include two sons, Michael O. Blodgett, Topeka, and Kent Carroll Blodgett , Powhattan; a daughter Lisa Jeffrey, Berryton; a brother Dr. Garry D. Owen, Lawrence; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
