Graveside services for Bonnie M. Smith will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Fulton Cemetery by Father Anthony Dinovo.
There will be no visitation. It was her wish to be cremated.
She died at 11:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 2007, at Hardin Hills Health Care Center, Kenton.
She was born Dec. 17, 1920, in Hardin County, to John Edward Sowers and May (Brown) Shepherd. She married Gerald Longbrake, who died in 1987.
Surviving are a son, John Smith of Kissimmee, Fla.; five grandchildren, Jay (Robin) Theisen of South Carolina, James (Elizabeth) Theisen and Laurette (Steven) Bouldin, both of North Carolina, Kristine (Donald) Brown of Kenton and Bonnie Leigh Smith of Arizona; four brothers, Earl (Maybelle) Shepherd, Howard (Marcie) Shepherd and Gary (Janice) Shepherd, all of Kenton and LLoyd Shepherd of Ada; two sisters, Carol Dodds and Eulah Molk, both of Kenton and 10 great-grandchildren, Aaron Douglas, Cameron Bouldin, Blaine Smith, Brittany Douglas, Krista Douglas, Holly Pilson, Layne Bouldin, Tiffany Wicker, all of North Carolina and Alana Brown and Taylor Brown, both of Kenton.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Smith Theisen; three brothers, Merle Shepherd, Willis Shepherd Jr. and Larry Shepherd; a sister, Kathleen Richey and her stepfather, Willis Shepherd.
She worked for the Ford Motor Company of Michigan, General Dynamics in Sanford, Fla., and at the Brass Kettle as a hostess in Sanford, N.C.
The Hanson-Neely Funeral Home of Ada is handling the arrangements and condolences may be sent to [email protected].
