Franklin E. Zorbaugh, Age 73, died at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, May 27, 2010, at Hanover Hall in Hanover, PA. Franklin was the beloved husband of Lois Jane (Rider)(Eisenhart) Zorbaugh, who passed away 1996. A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Irwin-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, PC, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove, PA, with the Rev. Larry A. McConnell officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Franklin was born in Codorus Township, York County, PA: on September 13, 1936, and was the son of the late Sylvester Zorbaugh and Mary (Harrold) Zorbaugh. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. He worked at P.H. Glatfelter for over 41 years and retired in 1999. Franklin is survived by his daughter, Michelle T. Zorbaugh of Fort Wayne, Ind.; his son, Christopher F. Zorbaugh and his wife, Susan of Covington, Ga.; and three grandchildren Kayla, Jessica, and Lexi Zorbaugh. He is also survived by his brothers, Robert Zorbaugh of Spring Grove, PA and Sidney Zorbaugh of Thomasville, PA; and his sister, Betty Allen of Dover, PA. He was predeceased by one brother and two sisters. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 924-N Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403.
