Obituary for Arthur Allen
Arthur Eugene “Gene” Allen, 83, Greenville, MO, passed away Friday, March 13, 2015 at the Grenville Nursing and Rehabilitation, Greenville, MO. He was born on June 15, 1931 in Coldwater, MO, the son of the late William Arthur and Evalyn Eaton Allen.
Gene spent his childhood growing up and making his home in Burbank, MO.
He was a logger and worked in the timber industry.
Gene was a Christian and of the Baptist belief and past attended New Hope General Baptist Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Middleton, Williamsville, MO, Jane Hillis and husband Noah, Williamsville, MO; Jeanette Cain Eads who was like a daughter and very special to Gene; and one sister, Larada Carmack, Greenville, MO; several special grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; Janice Eads who was like a daughter; Robert Caine who was like a son; and two sisters, Marilyn and Judith Allen.
Gene loved to talk to people and adored playing with his children. He loved spending time with his family and fishing.
The visitation for Arthur was held Sunday, March 15 at 5:30 P.M. at Ruegg Funeral Home in Greenville. The funeral was held Monday, March 16, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. also at the chapel. Pastor Aaron Allen ministered to the family and Jimmy Carmack, Ronnie Carmack, Ricky Carmack, Kevin Carmack, Jacob Allen and Matthew Allen served as pallbearers.
