Married Levina Garr. She was born in Kentucky, July 6, 1818. Have sixteen children; twelve living: Martha, John, Julia, Perry, Virenda, William, Catherine, Nancy, Elias, Matilda, Benjamin, and Lettie.
Members of the M.E. Church. Had two sons in the Union Army: Anderson enlisted in the 50th Regt. Ill. Inf., and was killed at the battle of Bentonville, the last fight of the war.; William was in the same regiment, and was in several battles; was on the big march to the see, and at the Grand Review at Washington. Mr. Tout has a farm of 200 acres, valued at $6,000, under good cultivation; and one of the best stone quarries in the county.
