Will Alexander was born May 29, 1892 in Bastrop County, Texas to Fleming A. Alexander and Millie Williams-Anderson. Will and his many siblings grew up on the family farm located in Precinct 2 of Bastrop County near the town of Rosanky.

Will died April 22, 1920 due to an axe blow to the head. His father reported that Will was single and working as a farmer in Rosanky, Texas.

It was also reported that interment was to be at St. Peter's Graveyard in Upton (also known as Sweet Hill Cemetery). However, research shows that he was buried in the family cemetery now located in LaReata Ranch subdivision. (It is believed that this site was the location of the Alexander’s family farm)
