Hiram Murray Higgins (H. M. Higgins) was a music publisher in Chicago, Illinois.
Around 1871 he moved to California and started a Fruit business. Mostly Lemons and oranges. He had a lemon that he named "Bonnie Brae"

Per his wishes his remains were buried on a section of his property, known as Bonnie Brae Ranch.
His remains may not still be buried on this land. About 1961 the land was used for housing developement.
Further research still is needed.

SETH HIGGINS (ancestry undetermined), born about 1796 at Sherburne, N. Y.; died at Englewood, near Chicago, IIl., in 1882, aged 86.
He lived at Warsaw and Laona, N. Y., and at Palmyra, Wis., and then went to Chicago with one of his sons. It is stated that he was killed by a locomotive, being thrown from the track at or near Englewood. The name of his wife is unknown. Informant could not furnish dates. He had a brother, John Higgins.
