PVT Ralsey A. Miller was born in 1829. He was a resident of Greenwich, Connecticut when he enlisted at 31 years of age, Married, and his occupation was Mechanic, in the 10th Connecticut Volunteers CO. I on 1 October 1861. He mustered in on 16 October 18. PVT Miller re-enlisted as a Veteran on 1 January 1864. According to the US Registers of Deaths of Volunteers 1861-1865 Connecticut L-M: PVT Miller died of Erysipelas, a bacterial skin infection caused by streptococcus at DeCamp General Hospital, David's Island, NY Westchester County on 13 September 1864. The attending was W. Webster, Army Surgeon, USA. He was buried 15 September 1864 at Middle Patent Rural Cemetery, North Castle, NY in the Read Plot 208 Grave #4.
