Resting at residence, 3927 Pine Grove avenue. Services Saturday, May 17, 10:30 a.m. at St. James Episcopal church, Wabash avenue and Huron street. Interment Oak Woods. Phone LOngbeach 1-2645.

Mrs. Josephine Erzinger

Services for Mrs. Josephine Erzinger, 82, of 3927 Pine Grove av., pioneer Chicagoan, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. James Episcopal church, Wabash av. and Huron st. Mrs. Erzinger, who died Tuesday in Augustana hospital, taught for 25 years in the Von Humboldt and Franklin schools and retired in 1935. She helped develop the open air room, forerunner of today’s physical improvement centers. She was the widow of John F. Erzinger. Her father, Capt. Edward Corbett, who settled here in 1857, had a fleet of sailing vessels used to evacuate families in the 1871 fire. Surviving is a son, John F., principal of the Lovett school.
