Aaron Craig Birchfield passed away on May 10, 2017, at the age of 27. He was born on April 21, 1990, in Fridley, Minnesota, to Samuel Craig Birchfield and Renae Yvonne Knoles. Aaron was a lifelong Katy resident and was a 2008 graduate of Katy High School. He went on to graduate from Lone Star College, and was currently a senior at the University of Houston. Aaron was employed at Kwik-Kar for the past 10 years.
He is survived by his parents, Craig and Carmen Birchfield of Katy; siblings, Lindsey Birchfield, Ryan Knoles, Cole Rivera, and Caroline Rivera; as well as his grandparents, Rick and Rebecca Knoles of Sugar Land, Terril Thomas of Nebraska, and Gerald Bernard of Livingston. He was preceded in death by his mother, Renae Knoles; grandmother, Adriana “Mimi” Bernard; and grandparents, Chuck and Lee Shoumake.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Schmidt Funeral Home – Grand Parkway, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 19, 2017, with Rev. Daniel Schramm officiating. Interment in Woodlawn Garden of Memories Cemetery.
