Note: I have no information on who her parents were but one is inclined to think there is some connection to a Native American past because of her unusual name. If so, Batesville had a history of the Chickasaw Nation living in that locality so perhaps there is a link. Caledonia was married at least three times to the following:
(1) Frederick Roller born about 1840 and who died 1882 in the Batesville, Mississippi area.
Their known children were:
Kate Roller born about 1876
Mary Virginia Roller born 1878-died 1943. Married James Coleman.
John Albert Roller born 1880 who married Mae Quirke and lived in Cleveland, Ohio. After her death, he married Elvira Passonern and was living in East Chicago, Lake, Indiana, where he owned a hotel.
(2) Caledonia married Alonzo Edee in 1884 and was living in Cayuga County, New York by that time. It is believed they had at least one child. It appears Alonzo died within a year after their marriage. Alonzo apparently had a stormy relationship with first wife, Christin who sued for divorce on grounds of his unstable behavior. It seems she chose to live apart at least during his last year and died at her daughter's home. However, the two are buried together in Weedsport, Cayuga, New York.
Charlotte (Lottie) Edee born July, 1884 in New York. Her tombstone says 1885 but her mother, Caledonia, says in the 1900 census that Charlotte was born in July, 1884, probably in Cayuga County. In the 1900 census, the family was erroneously listed in the census as Johnston. Charlotte has now taken the Johnson surname and was either adopted by Franklin or Lottie preferred to use it from then on.
Charlotte married Mr. Dowding and was living in the Otisco, New York area of Onondaga County.
(3) Caledonia married Franklin Johnson about 1886 in Cayuga County and had several children:
Clarence Ward Johnson born September 21, 1887 in Jordan, Onondaga, New York.
Frederick Lawrence Johnson born February, 1889 in Jordan, Cayuga, New York.
John Johnson born 1891 in New York.
Lena Johnson born July, 1888 in New York. It is thought she married a Mr. Anderson and they went to live in Ohio.
Jackson Johnson born March, 1892 in New York.
Eugene Johnson born February, 1895 in New York.
