Shirley was the daughter of Allen Sutton and Lottie-Hooker Sutton. She married Booker T. Robinson who preceded her in death on December 18, 1986. She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Odessa. Lived in Denver for 20 years before returning to Odessa in 1989.
She was survived by two sons, Floyd of Odessa and Robert Clinton of Houston. Two Daughters Patricia Ann Robinson of Odessa and Freddie Bell Williams of Kansas City, Mo. Four brothers, the Rev. Roscoe Sutton of Odessa, Howard and David Robinson, both of Andrews, and Elroy Robinson of Los Angeles; 11 sisters, Emma Sutton, Lucille Beck, Robbie Lee Sutton, Mildred Burts and Hazel Servance, all of Odessa, Carrie Bell Robinson and Alice Robinson, both of Sacramento, Ca, Pearl Robinson of Los Angeles, Mattie Mae Robinson and Catherine Smith both of Carthage, and Betty Lou Robinson.
