Alfred Marion Smith 1876 – 1962
Cora Louise Barron 1885 – 1973
SPOUSE:
Leslie Dan Moore 1909 – 1967
married May 28, 1932 in Lometa, Lampasas Co., Texas
CHILDREN:
John Mack 'Mac' Moore 1932 – living
Sharon Kay Moore 1947 – living
Lois was 1 of 6 children born to Alfred and Cora Smith.
They lived in the country, North of Lometa, Texas while she was growing up, and then they moved into the town of Lometa later.
Lois' husband was a Railroad man, and gone most of the time, so she lived with her mother, except for a couple of years. She worked at the Cafe in downtown Lometa.
Lois was an exceptionally sweet woman, and spoke with the most slow, southern drawl I think I've ever heard. She loved to tease, and would pinch us kids and then just laugh! She loved family, and the Smith and Moore's were very close knit, so many of them living in the town of Lometa, and the others visiting very often.
Lois was faithful about being in church ever Sunday. She loved people, and was a favorite lady of all the Lometa townspeople. You never heard her say an unkind word.
We're not sure if Lois and Dan were divorced, but they separated for good in about 1960. She continued to live with her mother the rest of her life.
Lois fell victim to Cancer, and died about 6 months after the diagnosis, in Rollings Brook Hospital, Lampasas Co., Texas.
