Hershel "The Hotdog Man" Adams, 84, of 440 Athens St, Hartwell, died Sunday, January 16 at Athens Regional Medical Center.

Born on March 5, 1926 in Cleveland GA, he was the son of the late Edlaw Adams and Rosa Allison Adams. He was a self-employed Plumber and of the Methodist Faith. Mr. Adams was a WW II US Navy veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Rose Marie Frances Adams of the home, two daughters, Helen Banister and her husband Mark of Hartwell and Dorothy Cromer of Hartwell; a brother, Billy Adams of Atlanta; three sisters, Catherine Smith and Carolyn Digby both of Snellville and Martha Jean Moore of Loganville GA; three grandchildren, Reynold Hartmann and his wife Tara, Joseph Cromer and his companion Erin and Austin Cromer; two great-grandchildren, Kimberly Hartmann and Ashlin Cromer also survive. Mr. Adams was preceded death by his parents; a sister, Janell Hudgens and three brothers, Dewey Adams, Robert Adams and Lewis Adams.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 20 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. J. B Kitts officiating. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
