RISNER, Jimmie D., Jr. – of Mt. Morris, age 63, lost his battle with brain cancer, Thursday, May 18, 2017, surrounded by his loving wife and children at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11AM Monday, May 22, 2017 at North End Baptist Church, 7360 N. Clio Rd., in Mt. Morris. Pastor Ted Stephens officiating. Cremation to follow. Family will receive visitors at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Sunday from 3PM until 8PM and Monday at the church from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM.
Jim was born June 2, 1953 in Adrian, Michigan to Jimmie and Roberta (Willett) Sr. He was a 1971 graduate of Mt. Morris High School. Jimmie married Deborah Nichols on April 13, 1974. He was a supervisor with Genesee County Road Commission for 33 years before retiring in 2006. Jimmie was a member of North End Baptist Church in Mt. Morris and the NRA. He enjoyed spending time outside, hunting, fishing, and golfing. Above all, Jim loved spending time with his family and friends. His grandchildren were his entire world.
Surviving are: Wife of 43 years, Debbie Risner of Mt. Morris; Son, Jimmie Risner of Ft. Wayne, IN; Daughter, Angela (Tom) Carnes of Swartz Creek; Grandchildren: Connor James Risner of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Alyssa Nicole Carnes of Swartz Creek; Mother, Roberta "Jean" Risner; Siblings: Debbie Risner, Candi Roig, Tina (Dave) Dennis, Johnnie Risner, and Jeff Risner; Many other loving family members, friends and special friend, Dave Hammond.
