Mattie E. Alderman was born October 24, 1873 on a farm in Marietta Valley, Crawford County, WI. She was the daughter of William and Jennie (Farrell) Hamilton. She remained on the farm until her marriage to Albon W. Alderman on October 20, 1898. To this union one son, Cecil, was born.
Albon and Mattie moved to Wauzeka in 1920, where she was a member of the Evangelical Ladies Aid and the Rebecca Lodge.
She is survived by her son, two granddaughters and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and three brothers, Frank, Allen and Arthur Hamilton.
