Earl W. Alexander, age 65, of Chillicothe, died at 10:44 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003, at Grant Medical Center, Columbus. He was born July 12, 1938, in Ross County, the son of the late Ernest and Opal Ater Alexander. On Dec. 24, 1959, he married the former Bertha Lowry, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, all of Chillicothe, and Randy and Renee, who grew up with the family and were special friends; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters; three half sisters; a brother, of Chillicothe; and a half brother, of California. Earl was preceded in death by a daughter, Opal; three sons, Ernie, Keith and Robert; a step-daughter, Ellen; step-son, Danny, and three half brothers, Carl and Tom Alexander and Kenny Walls.
Earl had worked at the VA Hospital in Chillicothe. He had worked most of his life as a mechanic and was a successful businessman. He was an avid NASCAR fan.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003, at 2 p.m. in the Ebright Funeral Home, Frankfort, with Rev. Jack Norman and Rev. Clarence Schirm officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from noon until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to assist the family with funeral expenses, in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 264, Frankfort, OH 45628.
