Bud was born on March 24, 1933, in Elmwood, Wisconsin, and was the son of Leonard and Esther (Jensen) Link. Also preceding was one brother, Charles Link.
Bud was a member of the DeSoto First Church of God. He lived in Anchorage, Alaska, for 22 years. He retired from Arden Dairy in Anchorage in 1982, and was a member of the Alaska Teamster's Union Local #959 of Anchorage. Bud retired in 2001, from the Farmington Juvenile Detention Center. Bud loved to hunt and fish and has several trophies from his hunting in Alaska. He loved to garden and sold vegetables at the Farmer's Market. Bud bought and sold at flea markets and auctions. He enjoyed morning 'coffees' with his friends at McDonalds and loved his two-year old grandson, Christopher, who was with him when at the time of his death.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Jean (Burch) Link, of Farmington; three sons, Scott (Julie) Link, of Farmington, Darin Link, of St. Louis and Brett Link, of Farmington; one grandson, Christopher Link, of Farmington. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m., at Taylor Funeral Service, Inc., Farmington, Mo. Visitation resumes Friday (today), at 7 a.m. Funeral services are at 11 a.m., (today) Friday, February 16, 2007, at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel, with Rev. Gene Moses and Pastor Steve Leach officiating. Interment following at Knights-of-Pythias Cemetery, Farmington, Mo.
