Catherine Ann Leach, 82, Anna, Texas, formally of Colorado City went to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, May 20, 2017.
She was born on August 20, 1934 to C.C. (Buck) and Erlene McCullough Dorn in the Dorn Community in Mitchell County Texas.
Catherine was a woman who exemplified the true meaning of a woman of Christ. She loved to share her love of Christ with all that would listen, helping her husband Wendell to pastor in the many churches they were called to over the years. Family was another of Catherine's greatest loves, after meeting the love of her life she married Mr. Wendell Leach in November of 1951 and they spent 65 years together side-by-side praising their Lord and raising their family. Catherine had a special place in her heart for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and her greatest wish is that they will meet up with her in heaven one day.
Catherine is survived by a son Calvin Leach and wife Stacy of Ardmore, Oklahoma, by a daughter Wendy Posey and husband Tim of Trenton; one brother, John Melvin Dorn of White Deer, Texas; two sisters, Vesta Shaw Bowen of Colorado City, Texas,and Liz Hodge of Whiteface, Texas; and by 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wendell in January of this year, by her parents, 2 sisters Wanda Hill and Billy Wood, and by one brother Calvin Dorn.
A funeral service will be held for Catherine at the Dorn Chapel on Saturday, May 27th at 1 pm with Rev. Jesse Hodge officiating, burial will follow in the Dorn Cemetery.
The family will be present for a visitation from 11 am until the time of the service at the church.
