Jeffrey Lee Sutton, 45, of Ririe, Idaho passed away at his home, early Sunday morning, May 21, 2017 of esophageal cancer.

Jeff was born on February 23, 1972 in Rexburg, Madison, Idaho, to Lee Henry Sutton and Heddy Ricks Sutton. He loved being raised in the Archer, Sunnydell area on the family farm. He attended school in Rexburg, graduating from Madison High School. After High School he went to Ricks College and later attended Utah State University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Business. On December 1, 2000, Jeff married Tandy Lee Nielson, the love of his life in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.

As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he loved the many individuals he was able to serve. He especially enjoyed his most recent calling as Bishop of the Shelton Ward in the Ririe Stake.

Jeff loved his family, going hunting, and being in the outdoors. He was grateful to be able to have a career that kept his ties to agriculture and allowed him time to spend with family and serve others.

Jeff worked for North West Farm Credit Services as an appraiser and was currently the Vice President of Appraiser Services. He was a member of the American Society of Farm Managers & Rural Appraisers. (ASFMRA) He served on the Ririe School Board and the Board of Directors for Enterprise Canal Comp.

Jeff is survived by his wife Tandy Lee Sutton, daughters: Lauren, Brooke, Shae, Brynne, and Claire of Ririe. His parents Lee and Heddy Sutton of Rexburg, a sister Sundee (Doug) Jensen of Rexburg, a brother Jerome (Kristen) Sutton of Idaho Falls, and Grandmother Gwen Sutton of Archer.

He was preceded by his grandparents, Jesse Sutton and Seth and Aseneth Ricks.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 26, 2017, in the Ririe LDS Stake Center (14061 N. 130 E., Ririe, ID) at 11:00 AM. The family will meet with friends Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and again on Friday, May 26th from 9:30 to 10:45 AM, both at the Ririe LDS Stake Center. Interment will follow in the Sutton Cemetery.
