Georgia Lee Kirby was born March 31, 1944 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana and passed away May 21, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Georgia married the love of her life, Ira Lee Kirby. Together the couple raised six children. Georgia was a devoted wife and mother who cherished her family and would later become a grandmother and great-grandmother.Georgia enjoyed collecting antique porcelain dolls. She and Ira had opportunities to travel to doll shows throughout the United States. They especially loved visiting Florida and Indiana. Georgia and Ira also loved going to flea markets every opportunity they had. Those closest to Georgia will fondly remember her for her loving and kind personality and her ability to keep anything you told her in confidence. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Georgia is preceded in passing by her parents, John A. and Irma Gene Matthews.
Georgia is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 57 years, Ira Lee Kirby; her children, Ramona Mortimer and her husband,Tony; Georgia Ridenhour and her husband,Timothy; Jeffrey Kirby and his wife, Tsaonda; Angela Henderson and her husband,Charles; Christopher Kirby and Darryl Kirby; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
