As a young child, Dan could never hold still and was always smiling. He had a wide circle of friends that were very important to him. Dan had a gift for music and a tremendous aptitude for musical instruments. He learned to play bass guitar, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, harmonica and drums. Music was the most important thing to him. He eventually learned to write and record his own songs, singing and playing each part. His dream was for music to be his lifelong career, but his battle with addiction and depression got in the way. Dan made a point to always encourage his cousins to remain committed to their dreams. He saved a close friend’s life once, proving that God has a plan and purpose for everyone. Dan enjoyed spending time with his cats, and he was a light to everyone who knew him.
Over the years, Dan frequently made the observation how important family is.
Dan is survived by his parents, Mark and Minda; his older brother, Matt; his grandparents, William and Marjorie Chamberlain and Robert and Mary Miller; his aunts and uncles, Rob, Tim and Scott Miller, Rosann Chamberlain (Cal), Julie Chamberlain (Mark), and Paul (Donna) Chamberlain; and his cousins.
Entombment will be held at the Catholic Cemetery in La Crosse.
