Fletcher Wood and Ruby Maupin, two highly respected young people of Enterprise vicinity, were recently married in Macon at the home of the officiating minister, the pastor of the Baptist church of that city. They were accompanied by Harry Maupin and Miss Maud Powell. The young couple are spending a few weeks visiting relatives in Kansas City and Lee's Summit.

---Mrs. Ruby Lee Maupin Wood, wife of Fletcher Wood, died at Kansas City Tuesday of this week, after an illness of nine days of influenza, followed by pneumonia. Her mother reached her bedside just five minutes before she passed away.
---She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee K. Maupin, was born near Enterprise, Shelby county March 16, 1890. At the age of 15 years she united with the Baptist church identifying herself with the membership at Union Church, and ever afterward lived the life of a consecrated christian.
---She was married to Fletcher Wood August 16, 1911, and is survived by a husband, one daughter, Winifred, aged five years, a father and mother, two sisters, Willie Ben and Lizzie Bob, two brothers, John and Harry S., also numerous other relatives.
---Funeral services took place from the Baptist church Wednesday, conducted by Rev. Adolph Vellmer. The interment was in the city cemetery at this place. A devoted wife and mother has gone to her reward and the sympathy of all is extended to the bereaved ones.

---Funeral services for Mrs. Fletcher Wood, who died in Kansas City Tuesday of last week, were held at the Baptist church in Shelbina Thursday, November 28, at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Adolph Vollmer. Her body was brought to the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee K. Maupin, Wednesday night.
---She had pneumonia, following influenza, but a defective heart was the cause of her death. She was 28 years of age, just in the early bloom of womanhood, and leaves a little daughter and a young husband to mourn her loss.
