DEATH OF A PLEVNA WOMAN
Mrs. John Tungate, Age 62, Died Sunday Morning of Dropsy.
Mrs. John Tungate of Plevna, 62 years old, died Sunday morning at her home there after being in declining health the last four years from dropsy. Funeral services were held at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon in the M. E. Church at Plevna by Rev. W. W. Clay of Novelty. Burial was in the Pleasant Prairie Church cemetery. The aged husband survives with six children: John Tungate, Jr., Simon Tungate, William Tungate, Mrs. Edna Wiable [sic] and Mrs. Mahala Harvey, who lives near the home at Plevna, and Anna May Tungate of Fairfax, Okla. Mrs. Emma Pulse, a sister, and seven grandchildren also survive. As Caroline Glover Case, Mrs. Tungate was born January 23, 1962. She was married to Mr. Tungate on December 23, 1887, and to them were born the six children who survive. Mrs. Tungate was a member of the M. E. Church at Plevna, she having joined that church in early girlhood.
