JAPOUR Annie Marie Thomas Japour, 93, of Fernandina Beach, FL., passed away Monday, February 12, 2007 at N.E. Florida Community Hospice in Jacksonville, FL. She was born in 1913 in Nassau County, FL., to the late David M. and Treatie Thomas, pioneer residents of Nassau County, FL. She graduated at Yulee High School in 1929 and married the late George Oliver Campbell. She spent most of her lifetime in Jacksonville and during World War II, she welded at the Jacksonville shipyards. She retired in 1979 from the Jacksonville Sandwich Company. She was a longtime member of Five Points Baptist Church in Fernandina Beach, FL. She leaves behind her children, Fay Richman of Fernandina Beach, Fl., Frank (Cindy) O. Campbell of Middleburg, FL., George (Louise) Andrew Campbell of Sanderson, FL., and Rose (Doyle) Cason of Lake City, FL. Her brother, James M. “Jim” Thomas of Fernandina Beach, FL., her sister Myrtle E. Walters of Auburndale, FL., and 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Her second husband, Edward Japour and her daughter Nancy Ruth Ward both passed away several years ago. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday at Oxley-Heard with services following at 11:00 a.m. Thursday from Five Points Baptist Church with Rev. Noel Roberts, officiating and Ed Cook assisting. She will be laid to rest in Bosque Bello Cemetery. Memorials may be made to N.E.
