Virgle Lee Baker Jr., 62-year old Big Cabin resident,passed away Sunday,March 16,2003,at Craig General Hospital,Vinita, after an extended illness.
Virgle was born November 25th,1940,at Tulsa to Virgle Lee Baker Sr. and Betty Ann (Redfern) Baker.
He was a long distance truck driver. Having worked for John Long, John Christener,Prime and others.
Virgle was united in marriage to Marilyn Sue Brumfield on September 23rd,1974,in Tulsa at Hope Savior Lutheran Church.
They moved to the Big Cabin area from Owasso,Oklahoma in 1993.
Survivors include: his wife,Marilyn,of the home;two daughters of this marriage, Jackie East and husband Jason of Republic,Missouri,Sandi Norwood and one daughter from a previous marriage Betty Williams of Tulsa,Oklahoma; two sons,Riley Chaney Pryor,Oklahoma and Virgle Baker III and wife Ashley of Pryor,Oklahoma;one sister,Nancy Williamson of Tulsa,Oklahoma;two brothers,Walter Baker and wife Opal(Snooks) of Talala,Oklahoma and Samuel Baker and wife Cindy of Claremore,Ok. and 13 grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren
and a whole host of friends and his canine pals Stinky ,Peggy and Butch.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 pm at Burckhalter Funeral Home Monday.
Graveside services were conducted by Henry 'Skip' McClain at 2 pm Tuesday at Ghormley Cemetery,near Pennsacola,Oklahoma.

∼He was an over the road semi truck driver for many years. He had friends all over the country. He was father to Betty,Riley Thomas,Jacqueline Susann and Virgle III.

His brother Walter dean passed September 13.2015.His younger brother Samuel Gene Baker passed away in March of 2016 For family ancestry seekers. His Father,Mother,brother and nephew Corey are buried at Woodland Memorial Gardens,Sandsprings,Oklahoma. His daughter Elizabeth is buried at Collinville,Oklahoma Cemetery.
