NOVELTY, Mo. — Services for Mrs. Edna May Waibel, 82, of Novelty, who died Wednesday (Nov. 14, 1973) in a Kirksville hospital, will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the Christian Church. The Rev. Bob Schofield will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Prairie Cemetery near Bethel.
Mrs. Waibel was born in Shelby County April 25, 1891, a daughter of John and Callie Case Tungate. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She married Jacob Henry Waibel July 4, 1908 in Novelty. He died Jan. 19, 1953.
Surviving are three sons, Verna of Novelty, Lewis of Lawton, Okla., and Robert Earl of Macon; three daughters, Mrs. Stanley (Josephine) Sumpter of Topeka, Kan., Mrs. R. I. (Lavon) Mattingly of Clarence, Mrs. Harold (Thelma) Boling of Clarence, Mrs. George (Kathy) Rakard of Salem, Ill., and Mrs. Robert (Joyce) Bradley of Pensacola, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Albert (Mahala) Harvey of Bethel; two brothers. Simon Tungate of Bethel and Billy Tungate of Shelbyville; 27 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
