L.B. Sorrells, age 88, passed away at his daughters home in Batesville, MS, April 22, 2016.

Funeral services for Mr. Sorrells will be held Monday, April 25, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville, MS. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Reverend Rusty Robertson will officiate the service. Interment will be in Hebron Cemetery Sardis, MS.

L.B. was born March 16, 1928 to the late Leroy Sorrells and Minnie McCormack Sorrels in Quitman County, MS. He proudly served his Country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Hebron Baptist Church. During his time on this earth he enjoyed swinging on the front porch and riding 4-wheelers.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Edna M. Samuels Sorrells of Sardis, daughter; Pat Sorrels Stokes of Batesville, 3 sons; Russell Lynn Sorrells, Kenneth Bob Sorrells, and Floyd Randy Sorrells all of Sardis, 9 Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great-Grandson.

In addition to his parents, L.B. is preceded in death by 2 daughters, Edna Diane Sorrells Jenkins, and her infant twin, sister; Deloris Monneyhand, and his brother; Tom Sorrells.
