Rev. Larry Lee Bolen age 71 of Ballard, WV went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday May 24, 2017 following a long illness.

Born on January 24, 1946 in Creamery, WV, Rev. Bolen was the son of the late John McKinley Bolen and Nancy Ellen Cole Bolen.

He was a retired coal miner, and a member of the UMWA. Rev. Bolen had pastored Mary Jane Chapel on Streeter Road for several years, and continued serving the Lord with his TV ministry as the "Inspiration Time With Larry and Greta Bolen" on WOAY TV.

In addition to his parents, Rev. Bolen was preceded in death by his wife Greta Jean Bolen on December 25, 2015, by one sister Cletes Ritter, and a step son Steven Jerome Thornsbury.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Tiffany Butler and husband Steven of Beckley, Step children, Kimberly Zandlo and husband Tony of Beckley, and Star Dalton and husband Keith of Pineville, WV, Randy Thornsbury and wife Genevieve of PIneville, and Kerney Ray Thornsbury of Beckley.; a brother, Clayton Bolen and wife Jo of Cool Ridge; a sister, Alma Barker and husband Harold of Jumping Branch; many grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted to Celebrate the life of Rev. Larry Bolen on Tuesday May 30 2017 at 2 PM with Rev. Steve Board officiating.

Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV.

Friends may visit with the family from 6 PM until 9 PM on Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family members.
