Life-long resident of Jackson, MI, born September 9, 1922, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 28, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years,
three sisters, two brothers.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, sisters,
Alvie was blessed with four children, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.He leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Alvie retired in 1986 from Jackson Community College after 20 years of dedicated service as Supervisor of Campus Services. He was an avid sports fan, gardener, fisherman, and do-it-yourself expert.
Funeral services held at Second Missionary Baptist Church.
