Michalina was first married to Wincenty Narkiewicz, born in Krasnopol. He went to America and worked as a timber man at the Draper Colliery in Gilberton, PA. Wincenty's sister in Poland sent Michalina's picture to him and he asked her to come to America. They married and had children: Jadwiga, Leon, Anna, and Wincenty. After about 12 years they sold their house in Gilberton, and were scheduled on November 5, 1889 to return to the Old Country. Tragically Wincenty (listed as William Narcavich in the newspaper) was killed instantly along with another Polish co-worker (Frank Ambrosavich) crossing the Philadelphia and Reading railroad tracks after they left work collecting their wages on November 2, 1889. Wincenty was buried November 5, 1889 in Schuykill County, possibly in the New Saint Casimir's Cemetery in Shenandoah Heights, PA. Michalina returned to Poland after Wincenty's burial. There she married a Jozef Ambrosiewicz. They had children: Pius, Frank, Gabriela, Florence, Victor, Marianna, Jozef, and Antoni. Michalina died in 1907; Jozef died in 1920, and they are buried in Krasnopol.

Michalina's parents were Anthony Pachucka and Frances Michalowska. Her siblings were Amelia "Emily" Pachucki (married to Anthony Novitski); Joseph Pachucka ala Pohutsky, Sr. (married to Anna Gwiazdowski), and Elizabeth Mary Pohutsky, aka Pachucka (married to Francis "Frank" Michael Akelewicz).
