Obituaries from Benton Co, Ark Vol 1 1884-1898 Pg 145-46 - Allensworth, Elizabeth - Mrs Elizabeth Allensworth, died at her home in DeCatur, Nov 22 1894, after an illness of nine days. The decd was born Aug 03 1836 and leaves a husb and five children to mourn her loss. She was a member of the Progressive Church and was loved and respected by all who knew her. Funeral Services were conducted at DeCatur by Rev W.D. Joyner and attended by a large circle of relatives and friends. Bentonville Sun - Dec 08 1894 - Allensworth, Elizabeth Knouff - Died, Nov 02 1894 (discrepancy here) Elizabeth Kouff at the age of 58 yrs. She was born in Harrison Co, OH and was the mother of ten children, five of whom survive her. Mrs Elizabeth Allensworth had been sick only abt eight days when the master called her to her reward in heaven. She was a consistent christian and was a member of the Baptist Church from early girl hood. Decd was the mother of ten children., five of whom died in their infancy, and five are yet living to mourn her loss. Thefuneral took place Fri 23rd and the remains were followed to their final resting place in the DeCatur grave yard by a large concourse of sorrowing friends and relatives. A short funeral sermon was preached at the grave by Rev Joiner. The grief stricken family have the sympathy of all in their sad bereavement. Gravett News - Dec 08 1894.
