Edgar Allen Carter Jr., 70, died Sept. 8, 2006, at his home. He was born in Mississippi, lived in Michigan most of his life and moved to Florida in 1982. His was a member of New Hope Fellowship, Palm City, which recently honored him with a plaque. He served in the Army during the Korean conflict. He worked for Armstrong Machine Works and Armstrong International for 45 years, retiring in 1997. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Deborah Carter of Stuart; his children, Edgar A. Carter III of Michigan, Nathan Carter of Connecticut, and Natalie Kant of Arkansas; adopted children, Precious Mackey of Port St. Lucie, and Cindy Keieger of Stuart; his mother, Addie Loudean Carter of Stuart; and nine grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund, New Hope Fellowship, 3900 S.W. 48th Ave., Palm City, FL 34990. SERVICES: A memorial service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 11, with a gathering following the service, at New Hope Fellowship, Palm City. Arrangements are by Forest Hills Memorial Park & Funeral Home, Palm City.
