Linda Kay (Baker) Boggs, 62, of Mansfield went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 29, 2017 after a fight to the end with cancer. Linda was born July 29, 1954 in Mansfield to James and Marlene (Gaubatz) Baker.

Linda married Rick Boggs on November 18, 1972 and together raised two daughters. Linda worked in various factory jobs until she got her last, by far, favorite job at Well Point Anthem Insurance as a claims adjuster for her best supervisor, Bobbie Combs. This is where she met the girls Jeannie, Mary and Donna whom she loved dearly. Linda enjoyed garage sales and craft shows, along with playing bingo with Granny, her sisters and daughters. Even though she did not like the snow and cold, Christmas time was her favorite time of the year. She always had the prettiest tree, trying to make it prettier each year. She loved going to Nashville and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee at Christmas to see the lights and get new crystal ornaments. Linda was very unselfish, always putting others before her especially her children and grandchildren. Linda volunteered at the Friendly House in many different children’s programs and was really involved with the cheerleaders. She loved her work and her children.

Left behind to cherish Linda’s memory are her mother, Marlene Baker; her husband of forty four and a half years, Rick Boggs; daughter, Jennifer (Brad Enderle) Nickell; grandchildren, Johnathon and Kimmie Scheurer, and Beckah Lunsford; great-grandson, Daemion; sisters, Cindy (Keith) Campbell, and Kathy (Kenny) Carroll; a brother, Rodney Baker; an aunt, Elaine Baker; brothers-in-law, John (Karen) Boggs, Larry (Brenda) Boggs, sisters-in-law, Audrey (Steve) Sapp, and Ken (Angela) Boggs; numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends. Linda is preceded in death by her father, James Baker; her grandparents, Michael{FAG#59754989} and Dorothy Gaubatz{FAG# 130550315}; brothers, Jimmy and Joe Baker; father and mother-in-law, Alvin and Aline “Granny” Boggs; her daughter, Kelly Koedel; and grandson, Zachariah Lunsford.

The family wish to express deepest thanks to Barb Boggs and family, Jeannie, Mary and her girls from work for their friendship and visits she so enjoyed. Special thank you to Angie Stevens for her loving care. Most of all her sister, Cindy Campbell for helping care for her and her much help to Rick.

The family will welcome friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 2, 2017 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Paul Staton and Rev. Ferlie Yates will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the funeral home. Linda will be laid to rest in Oak Grove Memorial Park.
