George H. Proctor of Union City died April 8, 2005. He was a retired Staff Sergeant with the US Army serving in WWII and Korea. He is survived by his wife, Emma Proctor; his daughter, Darlene DeVault of Wathena, KS; his step-son, Oleg Keranec of Detroit, MI; three step-daughters, Angelica, Victoria and Veronica of Germany; eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; brother, Bill F. Proctor of Topeka, KS; and two half-sisters, Nellie LaCounte of Reserve, KS and Emma Rooney of Hiawatha, KS. Funeral services 12 Noon Monday April 11th at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with full military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday April 10th from 4-7 PM. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, East Point, GA 404-761-1138.
