She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. Survivors include daughters, Jetta Mathews, Mary Cayton, Betty Coonts; adopted, Jean Richardson; 12 grandchildren; and many great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service was held Monday, August 16, 2004 at 10 a.m. at Jefferson Memorial Trussville Chapel, with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Dr. Michael Rouse officiating.
