Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM, Friday, May 12, 2017 at St. John Lutheran Church in Newhall with Rev. Steven Rempfer officiating. Visitation will be from 4 – 7 PM Thursday also at the church. Interment will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Phillips Funeral Home, Vinton is in charge of arrangements.

Pauline was born February 22, 1921 in rural Benton County to Claude and Fanny (Nabholz) Sanders. She graduated from Lincoln High School and attended normal training and taught in a one-room-schoolhouse.
Pauline was united in marriage to Vernon W. Schirm on September 5, 1942 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She and her husband farmed in the Vinton area for many years. Vernon preceded her in death on June 11, 1986.
Pauline was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Newhall.
She enjoyed playing cards with her many card clubs, especially bridge. Pauline enjoyed going dancing in area dances as well as visiting her family and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Pauline was preceded in death by her three brothers.
