Janesville - Longtime Smiths Mill farm homemaker, Irma Irene Abraham, 98, Janesville, died Friday July 13, 1990, at the Mankato House Health Care Center. Services were today at the Janesville United Methodist Church, the Rev. Margery Lisle officiating. Burial was in Smith Mill Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Abraham, Jeff Abraham, Frank Miller, Jeff Fellows, Norman Johnson and Jerry Abraham. The Arnoldt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Abraham was born Oct 2, 1891, in LeRay Twp, Blue Earth Co., to Selmer and Clara [Atkins] Fellows. She attended rural schools in the Smith Mill area, and married John G. Abraham in Smith Mill, Feb 21, 1917. They farmed near Smiths Mill in Janesville Twp., Waseca County, until 1964, when they retired to Janesville. She was a member of the Janesville United Methodist Church, where she continued as an honorary member of the Ladies Aid Society.
She is survived by a daughter, Hazel Werdin of Janesville; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; four great-great grand children; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1967, and by two sons, Warren and Wallace, and two sisters and a brother. MFP 7/16/1990.
