Novella Yancey, age 98 years, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky died June 1, 2017 at her home.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 4, 2017 at 3pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Bruce Dixon and Bro. Scott Yancey officiating. Burial to follow in the Pine Knot Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1pm until funeral service time Sunday, June 4, 2017 at the funeral home.
She was born in Starts, West Virginia on March 3, 1919 the daughter of F.M. and Patty (Stephenson) Creekmore. Novella was a homemaker, member of the Whitley City Church of God, enjoyed sewing, crafts, gardening, cooking, church, family, and friends.
Her parents; husband, Clyde Yancey; son, Clifford Yancey; brothers, Francis Creekmore, Paul Creekmore, Leon Creekmore, and Theodore Creekmore; sisters, Anna Pearson, Mary Westley, and Vivian Owens; and 2 grandchildren precede her in death.
Survivors include her son, Merrill Itdus Yancey of Pine Knot, Kentucky; daughters, Freida Stephens of Pine Knot, Kentucky, Velma Sue Dennison of Glasgow, Kentucky, Judy Lee Simmons of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Adrienne Marcella Head of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, and Patricia Helton of Greenwood, Kentucky; 31 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
