Courtney Paige Clevenger, 23, lost her courageous battle with breast cancer on Monday, September 15, 2008.

She was born June 6, 1985 in Fort Wayne, Courtney grew up in Roanoke and attended IPFW before relocating to Chicago in 2007.

She had a zest for living, a love of dance and an unquenchable spirit. She was active in the Young Survivors Coalition (YSC) established for breast cancer survivors under the age of 40, and participated in breast cancer research throughout her illness.

Her final days were spent at Prentice Women's Hospital on the Northwestern University Campus, downtown Chicago.

She is the beloved daughter of Sarah McKee-Clevenger, Roanoke, and R. Michael Clevenger, Tarrytown, New York.

Courtney is also survived by sisters, Christy Fahlsing and husband Paul, Fort Wayne, Carrie Clevenger, Chicago, and Claire Clevenger, Fort Wayne; brothers, Cameron Clevenger, Roanoke, and Michael Clevenger, New York, and grandmother Bette Clevenger, Warsaw.
