Robert William Tune was the son of Henry G. and Marietta Ann Spencer Tune. "Rob" was born and lived his entire life in the little town of Ovilla, Ellis County, Texas.

Y-DNA testing done in June 2017 has now shown a match with a descendant of the Toone family from Belton, Leicestershire County, England & our grandfather Robert William Tune & his second wife Aletha Stafford Tune.

"Rob" married Media Lue Brown on 28 August 1910 in Dallas County, Texas. "Meda" died 05 December 1923 in Ovilla, Texas.

"Rob" then married Aletha Mae Stafford on 22 November 1925 in Ovilla, Ellis County, Texas. He and Letha were married forty-nine years, eight months, and twenty-six days. They had one son, Robert LeaMond Tune of Ovilla and a daughter who was stillborn.

"Rob" & Letha owned the Tune barber shop and dry cleaning business in Ovilla for many years. He was a faithful husband, father and grandfather and a lifelong member of the Ovilla Methodist Church. He was a most loving and generous soul. May you rest in peace. I love you, I miss you granddaddy, Gloria

"R. W. Tune rites held at Ovilla"

"OVILLA--Robert W. Tune, lifetime resident of Ovilla, died at 9 a.m. Sunday at W. C. Tenery Community Hospital in Waxahachie.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today at the Ovilla United Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Spinks and the Rev. Andy Hollinger officiating. Burial was in Ovilla Cemetery under the direction of the Boze-Mitchell Funeral Home.

Mr. Tune, who was retired from barbering and dry cleaning business, was born in Ovilla on April 8, 1892. He married the former Miss Letha Stafford on Nov. 22, 1925, in Ovilla. A member of the Ovilla United Methodiast Church, he was also a member of the IOOF Lodge 196 at Ovilla.

Survivors include his widow, 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, a brother, P. L. Sims of Waxahachie, 5 sisters, Mrs. Jim Regan of Alabama, Mrs. Nina Dulworth of DeSoto, Mrs. Katie Bell Weatherford and Mrs. Marie Deeds, both of Waxahachie, and Mrs. Jennie Chowning of DeSoto; and several nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers were Wilson Pickard, Homer Alsup, Fred Curtis, George Billingsley, Reese Sullivan and James Billingsley."
