Daniel Joseph Lowery Sr.
Daniel Joseph Lowery, Sr., 70, of Ashville, Alabama passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Daniel is survived by his wife Frances of 46 years, his children Darrell (Carey) Lowery, Iva (Scott) Weaver, Daniel (Renee) Lowery and Racheal (Kevin) Lowery and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert S. and Iva Lowery and his siblings Tommy, Bob, Don Earl, Lester Lowery and Lizzie Rich. Also, awaiting his arrival to God's beautiful Kingdom is his precious daughter, Nora Frances Lowery. Daniel was a loving father, husband, Pawpaw and friend to all. Daniel loved building things and was a self-employed mason for 45+ years until he was forced to stop due to a heart condition. When work wasn't calling his name; he enjoyed everything the outdoors had to offer, from hunting and fishing with his sons, camping with the family and playing outside with his grandbabies. He enjoyed just about everything that life had to offer except for one thing he'd tell his wife, "Anything But The Beach". (He was not fond of the Florida Sand and Sun). Daniel's beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children: "Dad, Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure...You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.... A celebration of life gathering will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, September 23 at Deerfoot Memorial Funeral Home. Brother Richard Ashley will officiate funeral services at 11:00am with Burial following at Red Hill Baptist Cemetery in Springville, Alabama.
