Rev. Fred Stubenvoll died of cancer at home on November 17th, 2022 with his sons at his side. He was born December 19, 1949 at Charles City, Iowa to Rev. E.C.F. Stubenvoll III and Avis Maxine Guthart, being baptized at St. John Lutheran Church, Charles City, by his grandfather, Rev. E.C.F. Stubenvoll II.

As a youth he lived in Dubuque, Iowa (1949-1952), Shawano, Wisconsin (summer 1951), Everly, Iowa (1952-1957). Bloomer, Wisconsin (1957-1962), Marinette, Wisconsin 1962-1968).
In 1964 he was confirmed by his father at First Trinity Lutheran Church, Marinette, graduating from Marinette High School in 1968.

He attended Bethany Lutheran College, Mankato, Minnesota graduating in 1970; Mankato State College graduating in 1973, and Bethany Lutheran Seminary graduating in 1976. In 1976, he was ordained into the Lutheran ministry by his father at First Trinity Lutheran Church, Marinette and served churches in Lengby, Minnesota (1975-80), New Hampton and Calmar, Iowa (1980-1987), Jensen Beach, Florida (1987-1990), moving back to Marinette in 1990 to serve First Trinity Lutheran Church until his retirement in 2015.

On March 25, 1972, he married Cynthia Susan Beise at St. John Lutheran Church, Hastings, Minnesota by his father. They were blessed with five children: Emil, Benjamin, Christine, Daniel, and Aaron.

"The Rev." was known in the area as an accomplished golfer, winning 9 club championships in 4 states, 5 city championships in 3 states, the UPGA Senior Championship 3 times, and over a hundred local and area individual and team competitions. He was a long time member of Little River Country Club. He also enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, bowling, and cards.

Rev. Stubenvoll was preceded in death by his wife Cynthia, of 48 years;
his daughter Christine;
his parents,
and his sister Lori Anne.

He is survived by four sons: Emil, Benjamin (Jenny), Daniel (Jenna), Aaron (Lora),
eight grandchildren
and two brothers: Thomas and Tory.

Funeral services will be held at First Trinity Lutheran Church in Marinette at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2022. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service. Burial will be in Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
