FLETCHER, Mary Jane, 89, of Dayton, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on Nov. 15, 1927 to Charles & Hattie (Tipton) Deck. Mary Jane had attended the Murlin Avenue Church of the Nazarene and the North Dayton Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, James D. Fletcher; son, James Edward Fletcher; sisters, Helen Steele, Pauline Thomas & Doris Shade; brother, Rev. David Deck; son-in-law, George McDaniel. Survived by her daughter, Pamela McDaniel; sons, Gary D. Fletcher (Faith Ann) & Rickie "Hop" Fletcher; 5 grandchildren & 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Erma Freed & Shirley Deck Perkins; brother, Rev. Raymond Deck; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives & many friends. Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the GEORGE C. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, "Northridge Chapel," 5040 Frederick Pike at Needmore Road. Pastor Randy Chestnut, officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the George C. Martin Funeral Home. If desired, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45206.
