Phyllis J. Abbett, 80, of Warsaw, IN passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at her home. She was born on June 4, 1934 in Huntington County, IN to Robert & Marie (Taylor) Henmyer.

She grew up in Huntington and graduated in 1952 from Huntington High School. She was married on June 6, 1952 in Huntington, IN to Phillip L. “Phil” Abbett who survives and moved to the Warsaw area in 1956 from Huntington. She was formerly employed at the Kosciusko County Court House as a custodian, worked at Tippecanoe Country Club in Leesburg & cleaned homes for many years.

She was a member of the Country Bible Church in North Webster and formerly attended the North Webster Church of God.

She is survived by:
Husband – Phil Abbett of Warsaw
Daughter – Brenda (Gus) Ditsch of South Bend
Sister – Carol Baugher of Fresco, TX

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 daughters – Belinda Abbett & Sheila Abbett and son – Todd Abbett.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Country Bible Church, 4782 N 850E, North Webster, IN. Memorial services will follow at 4:00 in the church on Saturday with Pastor Myron Drent officiating.

Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN is in charge of all arrangements.

Memorial bequest may be given to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 1848, Longmont, CO 80502. Envelopes will be available at the church.
