Kenneth Fred Hinton October 2, 1957 June 3, 2017 Kenneth Fred Hinton 59, of Mount Eagle, passed away on June 3, 2017, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, surrounded by his loving family. Ken was born October 2, 1957, at Lock Haven Hospital, Lock Haven. Son of the late Kenneth Harold Hinton and the late Laura Catherine Lucas. Kenneth is survived by four siblings, Karen Hinton Clevenstine (Rick), of Lancaster, Debbie Hinton Evock (Jeffery), of Julian, Robin Lucas Knoffsinger (Doug), of Milesburg, Jerry Lucas (Bobbi), of Bellefonte. Ken was married to the former Mary J. Witmer, of Mount Eagle. Ken is survived by three children, daughter, Tonia Nicole Hinton Berenty (Chad), of Howard, son, Kyle Fred Hinton (fiancee, Wendy), of Mount Eagle and son, Jeremy Jones, of Milesburg. Ken is also survived by three grandchildren, Blake Berenty, Kaley Berenty and Savannah Jones and a grandson who is expected in August 2017, and who will be named Joshua Kenneth Hinton. He was also adored and loved by many nieces and nephews. He was a 1976 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. Ken was formerly a welder at Penn Dot, Bellefonte, retiring with 35 years of service. Ken also worked for the Penn Stater Conference Center, Pennsylvania State University, as a shuttle driver. Ken enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping with his good friends, Sue and Ray Miller, Sharon and Sam Hillard and Sandy and Pete DeArmitt. Ken enjoyed yard work, driving his Steiner and watching and shopping on QVC. Ken's greatest passion in life was spending time with his grandchildren and family. From the time Kenny was young he always had a smile on his face. He could light up a room with his jovial personality and his gentle soul. He was loved by all that knew him. The world was a little kinder with Kenny in it and he will be sorely missed. Ken belonged to the Transforming Lives Through Christ Church in State College where he took pride in being a greeter for his church family. He volunteered for the Citizens Hook and Ladder, Milesburg, Past President for his local Union. He enjoyed watching wrestling and coaching his son's baseball teams. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, Howard, with the Pastor Chester Marshall officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, from 6-8 p.m. Burial at the Jacksonville Cemetery.
