Harry Louis Tracy was the son of Andrew Neat Tracy and Martha "Patsy" Polsgrove. At the time of U.S. entry into World War I, he apparently was working as a farmhand on the farm of his sister's husband at Rantoul, Illinois. Later in life, he was a heavy machinery operator for Engineering Local #18. His first wife was Alice E. Browne, whom he married at Howard, IN 2 JUL 1937. He then married his second wife, Julia E. Schilling. In July of 1964, Harry Tracy was diagnosed with liver cancer. After an eight-month illness, Harry expired at the Kerns Nursing Home in Berea. Funeral arrangements were conducted by the Corrigan Funeral Homes in Cleveland.
