April 7, 1931 ? Nov.11, 2006 WILLIAMSTON ? Alice Eugenia Hill Davenport, 75, wife of Fred Lee Davenport of 1010 Gossett Drive, died Saturday, November 11, 2006 at Hospice of the Upstate. Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late John Daniel and Lula Morrison Hill. She was formerly employed at Martin Manufacturing Co., a member of Big Creek Baptist Church and the Matron Sunday School Class. Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are a son, Dr. Michael L. Davenport and his wife Cheryl of North Augusta, a daughter Linda and her husband David Spruell of Williamston, sisters, Kathleen Waters of Travelers Rest, Thelma Paulus of Forest City, NC, brother, Leroy Hill of Gray Court, 2 grandchildren, Joel Davenport, Casey Todd and her husband Roger, and 2 great grandchildren, Austin and Haley Todd. Services will be 2 pm Tuesday at Big Creek Baptist Church, with Rev. Mitch Gambrell and Dr. Michael Davenport officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family is at the home and will receive friends 6 - 8 pm Monday at Gray Mortuary. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Pine View Baptist Church, P.O. Box 204232, Augusta, GA, 30917.
