Frank was born March 9, 1930 in Bushnell to Oscar and Ada (Felkner) Lucas. He served his country in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953. On June 8, 1974, he married Beverly Thomas. Frank had worked at Thorco for 37 years and retired as a foreman. He enjoyed gardening and was famous for his tomatoes. He also loved to read and spend time with his family and friends.
Frank leaves behind his wife of 43 years; two sons, Gerald Lucas, Pittsburg, Kansas and Kenneth Lucas, Mulberry, Kansas; a daughter, Debbie Horton, Pittsburg, Kansas and a step-daughter, Janet Lopez, Joplin, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Gregory Horton, Cynthia King, Jeremy Lucas, Sarah Homewood, Levi Lucas, Sheena Devore, and Tara Dombeck and several great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother, Clarence Lucas, and two sisters, Evlyn Higgins, and Alice Behrend.
Funeral service will be 10:00 am Friday, June 9, 2017 at Daniel Funeral Home with Cliff Hazard officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
